Kruja City

Kruja City is the first informal capital of Albania from Middle Age.

During the 30 years rule of Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, it was the capital of  resistance against the Ottoman Empire.

Skanderbeg, the Albanian National hero, was not from Kruja. But he chooses Kruja City for its strategic position on the mountain. Where he could control the sea coast and have eye contact with three other castles between Tirana and Durres.
